The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus is a theorem that relates the integral and the derivative, connecting how you can use the concepts to find the area under the curve.

The equation exists in two forms:

The first states that the derivative of F is f - essentially telling us we that by finding an anti-derivative, we can find the area under a curve. 

The second gives more clear and direct instructions on how exactly to find the area under a curve.
